Lead UP 5095 FTT 4-10-2 West Side Models Brass HO CP
Description
Union Pacific UP 5095 FTT West Side Models Brass HO Scale.  West Side Models imported this Katsumi Model from Japan.  The 4-10-2 had a Whyte class designation of Southern Pacific as that road was the first road to use that wheel arrangement.  The Union Pacific classed these engines as FTT – Four -Ten - Two.  The Union Pacific.  Alco-Brkes deliver ten of the engines to the Overland Route during 1925.  During WWII, these 3 cylinder engines were simplified to 2 Cylinders and all were then equipped with Walschaert Valve Gearing.  Tipping the scales at 308,916 pounds, the engines rested on ten 63 inch drivers.  The boilers produced 230 PSI of steam that powered the     pair of 27 inch bore by 32 inch stroke cylinders.  These engine could develop a tractive effort of 72,391 pounds.  The model has a boiler weight ready to install.  We wee the weight, we do not see the screw.  We do not see a machine threaded weight so we would use a sheet metal screw.  The model come with it original box and replacement foam.
